I've just been reminded of the dire situation that Singapore is in.
Not about the water shortage problem im doing for my project work, but instead of how can we place our future government in the hands of the current group of youths, probably me included.
Newspapers and all keep raising the matters of the youths becoming more and more disorgansed in mentality and 'uncouth' even though they are supposedly becoming smarter. Maybe cos of the deeper and more difficult topics being taught to the lower levels of education, but somehow i find that allowing kids to use calculator in primary school would somehow make them more stupid lol.
No arguments to back my claim ( oh no gp fail ) but i guess we can all see it happening more or less. But who's fault is it anyway, parents? Probably, i think all those people like parents, student leaders or those with 'power' are becoming more and more lenient with their underlings, and the problem of these underlings climbing over the top of these leaders head has caused an even more terrible problem of a permanent change in mentality to future generations, somehow :O Its like a snowball effect you know, this generation A releases its hold a little on the next generation B, when its time for generation B to run the show, generation B releases a little on generation C, and it keeps stacking until control becomes total release.
We could probably blame the world for improving so much you know. For example, last time back in those post world war days where everything was like under shortage, even teens treasued water and stuff. Of course, not anymore. Back then teens werent the ones fighting, it was the adults who rioted here and there for a whole variety of reasons. Life was simple without conflict cos everything was really simple man. No blogs to scold each other, family and personal values were still strong, tolerance was probably stressed upon by parents since they were living in the sensitive period where fights between various groups of people were easily started. Man, i think its not happening only to our Singapore, i have this feeling that this is a global phenomenon, maybe im wrong, dont know much about other countries cos im not staying overseas duh. Of course, we cant say that the future generations would definitely leave a stigma on mankind's history, maybe they'll invent some 1337 thingy to allow us to really have space travel you know, like REAL space travel where normal civilians like us can board some random space ship and go around maybe the earth-moon orbit? lol, not that its not available now but very expensive. Lets just all pray that the lion city would not become some other old dirty, stray cat in the streets in future.
On a sidenote, i've not talked about my final exam results. Bow down to the presence of greatness, a slacker like me got 64/80 rank points woooo, 63.75 if you wanna be exact. A BBDCB secured me a place for promotion to J2, with a B grade for econs, with a score being the top 4% of the cohort who took H1 economics as a subject. WAHAHAHAHA of course i cant get cocky and all. D for physics was like duh, really tired of doing badly for physics over and over again man, im waiting for the day where i can go back nanhua and break the news to mr wee that i got an A for physics lolol. Of course, my hopes at the start of the year for taking kickass H3 physics were dashed, i mean they were sort of 'dashed' like during the mid 2nd quarter of the year :X H3 physics is difficult, but its definitely much more fun than H2 physics can -.- A person like me goes for whatever is fun wahahaha, within limits that is. C for GP is >_>, A levels must get A wooooo. i didnt see my percentile for GP though, but its probably in the 90+ range too muah hahaha. At least i hope so, but i shouldnt be too happy about it though, i think SA's GP is of a lower standard as compared to other schools? Duno. Oh yeah, and if i were to include my higher mother tongue score into my overall score, it would pull my final grade down instead of pushing it up. How wonderful -.- All juniors who happen to be at my blog reading this post for whatever reason, HIGHER MOTHER TONGUE (CHINESE) MUST GET AS HIGH AS POSSIBLE, BUT MUST DEFINITELY PASSSSSSSSSSSSS.
Oh yeeeeah, tennis later. >) man i suddenly feel like taking some hiphop lessons during the holidays lol
